HOW big is your water footprint? Dramatic images of the Aral Sea disappearing for the sake of irrigation in cotton production (pictured, right) and reports of Bangladeshi schoolchildren fainting in school (because of industrial wastewater dumped nearby) make this more than an academic question - and one that many people hope will influence consumer behaviour.
