Modelling of emissions of nitrogen oxides from circulating fluidized bed combustors
Other conference contribution, 2003

Modelling approaches for circulating fluidised bed furnaces are discussed. An example of modelling results is presented in the form of a comparison between a comprehensive model with focus on the modelling of nitrogen oxide emissions and a simplified modelling approach to analyse a specific problem. A case of NO emissions from co-combustion of coal and wood is selected to test the models, a very severe test because it is presently difficult to accurately describe the release and combustion of volatiles by the model.
