Aspects of conservation in finite element flow computations
Journal article, 1994

In this paper we consider different aspects of conservation in the finite element method. In particular, we address the problem of conservation using numerical integration, related to mass lumping, simplified projections, quasilinear formulations, and non-conservative variables. Numerical results concerning simplified projection algorithms are given.
