ANALYSIS OF VOLTAGE PROFILE ON LV DISTRIBUTION FEEDERS WITH DG AND MAXIMIZATION OF DG INTEGRATION LIMIT
Other conference contribution, 2005

This paper discusses the effect of DG on voltage profile of LV distribution feeder. Two methods for voltage calculation, approximate and loss summation, are examined. Results from these two models are compared with each other and with results from one commercial load flow program. The effect of load power, number and location of injection points, and DG power factor on the maximum active power that the DG can inject into the LV feeder is investigated. It is demonstrated that controlled reactive power injection by the DG can significantly increase the maximum allowed active power with respect to feeder overvoltage limitation.
