ORCIDs in the Wild: Implementing ORCIDs into Research Support and Repository Systems
Other conference contribution, 2014

ORCIDs provide persistent digital identifiers to researchers to support disambiguation and links between different pieces of the research support infrastructure, among other things. Researchers can sign up for their own identifier at the ORCID website and add it to CVs, manuscript submission forms, etc., but how is the research community integrating ORCID identifiers into research support and repository systems? This panel will share their experiences in implementing ORCID identifiers into a variety of research support infrastructures, and discuss how institutions can best support broad adoption of ORCID in the research community.
