Development and validation of a model for Quality 4.0 maturity assessment and implementation
Other conference contribution, 2023

Quality 4.0 is a subset of Industry 4.0 in which emerging technologies are utilised for reaching proactivity. Quality 4.0 expands the scope of quality management by integrating emerging technologies with traditional quality practices, thus influencing people, processes, and technology. This paper explores how to enable the digital and organisational transformation towards Quality 4.0. For this purpose, a Quality 4.0 Maturity Model was developed and applied in a case company for validation. The case company scored low in four out of seven areas. Further actions include establishing a digital transformation strategy and increasing the quality and automatization of data collection.
