Hinders for circular supply chains of plastics
Paper in proceeding, 2024

Recycled plastic may be a more sustainable and resilient source than virgin fossil based raw materials. This paper presents results from an empirical study of the current state of Swedish plastics use and recycling supply chains. The focus is on hinders and risks that affect circular supply chains for industrial recycling plastics loops. Findings include need for multivariate synchronisation between recycled material supply and demand. The study contributes with empirical research on perceived hinders and points at the importance of collaboration to overcome uncertainties as regard both the supply and the demand of recycled plastics.
