D-band Data Interconnect Based on Polymer Microwave Fiber in SiGe HBT Technology
Paper in proceeding, 2024

In this paper, the results of the development of a D-band data link based on polymer microwave fiber (PMF) are reported. The electromagnetic (EM) interface between the transceiver MMICs and the PMF is implemented using an on-PCB Franklin antenna, resulting in a unique and simple way for EM coupling. Preliminary measurement shows that, using 9 GHz carrier frequency, the link supports data transmission of 36 Gbps at 12.2% EVM applying 16-QAM modulation.
