Effect of Antenna Loading Conditions at Array Level: Investigation of an SKA-Low Prototype
Paper in proceeding, 2024

This study deals with the impact of the receiver input impedance on the response of the antennas composing an array, in particular for radio astronomical applications. The model used for the simulated antenna patterns assumes that the load impedance of all antennas is equal to a given reference impedance independent of frequency. The effect of this assumption on the antenna patterns, the radio frequency path calibration and the array total efficiency is investigated for the SKA-low prototype Array Verification System Version 2.0 (AAVS2.0).
