Embedded Element Length of Receiving Antennas
Journal article, 2025

We introduce the term Embedded Element Length (EEL) for the antenna effective length for embedded elements in an array. EEL is closely related to the embedded element pattern (EEP). The fundamental difference is that while EEP is the measurable quantity when an antenna is operated in transmission, the EEL is the proportionality factor when measuring voltages excited by incident electric fields in receiving mode.
