Backward Stimulated Brillouin Scattering in Thin-Film Lithium Niobate Waveguides

We report experimental demonstration of backward intra-modal stimulated Brillouin scattering in Z-cut lithium niobate on insulator waveguides, yielding a resonance at 8.88 GHz with a gain of 56m-1w-1 and a linewidth of 42.5MHz.
