An Integrated Horn Antenna Design Using Multiple-Layer Thin Metal Plate Waveguide

A D-band horn antenna is presented by using multiple layer waveguide. To suppress the surface wave among the metallic multiple-layer plates, electromagnetic bandgap is design along the waveguide horn transition. Due to the asymmetric structure, the horizontal polarization and vertical polarization radiation performance of the horn antenna would be asymmetric. The antenna is optimized to achieve symmetric horizontal and vertical polarization radiation performance for the purpose of future good circular polarization. The design and scheme will be presented in the session.
