FE Analysis of the New Svinesund Bridge: Improved Assessment and Maintenance with Model Updating based on Field Meassurement
Paper in proceeding, 2005

The principal aim of this project is to develop methods for improved assessment and maintenance of bridges by means of finite element (FE) analysis with model updating from field tests and measurements. To achieve this, the new Svinesund Bridge is used as a case study. An FE model of the Bridge has been made and the construction of the bridge has been analysed. Data from field measurements on the bridges used for comparison and verification of the model. The measurements will also be used to update the FE model of the bridge, so that it correctly reflects the real response.
