Simplified Force and Moment Redistribution in Linear FE Analysis: Analysis and Design of Concrete Slab Bridges
Paper in proceeding, 2005

General recommendations is being developed for smoothing of concentrations of cross-sectional moments and shear forces, obtained from linear finite element (FE) analysis of concrete bridges. Assessment, as well as design is treated for both ultimate limit state (ULS) and service limit state (SLS). The study is focused on slab bridges, and on the moments and shear forces at concentrated supports. Concentrations due to both geometrical simplifications material simplifications, introduced through linear elasticity, is treated.
