Voltage Stability Analysis and Improvement of South-West Libya Electrical Power System, Part 1: Problem Identification
Paper in proceeding, 2008

Voltage stability has been of increasing importance in facing the rising risks of voltage collapses or system blackouts, and in trying to improve systems power quality, particularly in the relatively small and fast growing interconnected power systems of developing regions. This paper describes and identifies the recorded voltage fluctuations leading to some voltage collapses in the South-West Libyan electric power system, as a first step of handling this problem.
