Packaging as a Carrier of Materials Flow Effectiveness.

This paper presents a methodology for evaluation and improvement of materials flow systems. The aim is to integrate subprocesses, for instance through packaging design, in order to eliminate materials handling activities not adding product value from the logistic point of view, and thereby increase the effectiveness of the system.
