A carrier recovery arrangement and method comprising a comparator, such as a
limiting amplifier, and a frequency divider, wherein said comparator has an input
port for a modulated input signal and an input port for a constant bias voltage. The
frequency divider is coupled to the output signal of said comparator, wherein said
input port for a constant bias voltage is arranged to receive a constant bias voltage
different from a mean value of said modulated input signal.
