Vibration analysis of circular plates with an eccentric circular perforation with a free edge and attached concentrated mass at any arbitrary position
Journal article, 2011

In this paper the Rayleigh-Ritz variational method has been applied to determine the least natural frequency coefficient for circular plates with an eccentric circular perforation and arbitrarily attached concentrated mass based on the Classical Plate Theory (CPT). The coordinate functions are combination of polynomials which satisfy boundary conditions at the outer boundary and trigonometric terms. To the authors' knowledge the title problem has not apparently been studied in open literature; therefore, Comparison study has been also performed on the analytical solutions for some special combinations of geometrical and mechanical parameters. Abaqus standard solver was used for the simulations.
