Measurement of the turbulent length scales in the LPT/OGV facility
Report, 2007

This report describes measurements of the turbulent length scales in the low pressure turbine outlet guide vane (LPT/OGV) facility at Chalmers. The measurements were performed at two different turbulence intensities of the oncoming flow, low turbulence case without a turbulence generating grid, and high turbulence case with turbulence grid installed. The measurements were performed by the singe hot-wire probes of two different lengths at three different streamwise positions in the inlet part of the facility. In each of the streamwise positions five points across the flow were monitored. The dissipation of the turbulent kinetic energy was evaluated by three different methods, which, as believed, helped to improve the measurement accuracy.
