Alejandro Pradas Gómez
Alex works in the Systems Engineering Design research group.
The aim of his research is to help engineers to become more efficient at designing complex products. This allows engineers to focus on the possible concepts, design space and trade-offs while maintaining a traceable verification of the requirements. This will help both traditional configurations and new technology solutions aiming to stop the environmental impact associated with air travel.
Since 2012 Alex has worked in the aerospace industry in UK, USA and Sweden where he has helped develop, manufacture and certify structural components for all major aircraft and engine companies.
Alex is a Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society (UK) and a Chartered Engineer.
