Agata Tarczykowska

Doctoral Student at Food and Nutrition Science

Agata Tarczykowska is a PhD student at the Division of Food and Nutrition Science (Research area: Molecular Nutrition/Nutritional cell biology). She investigates the cause for the differential effect of different iron sources on growth-related pathways in human epithelial cells, with the main focus on iron uptake routes, using RNA silencing methodology. Her research also revolves around iron sources and cellular inflammation and oxidative stress in cancer cells, both in single cell cultures and co-cultures (intestinal/hepatic).
