Doctoral Student at Applied Chemistry

Due to the European CO2 directive for heavy duty vehicles, the need for reduction of toxic emissions such as NOx continues to be an important matter for the truck and bus manufacturers. A new generation of SCR catalysts is required to enable ultra-high NOx reduction efficiency over the vehicle lifetime.

My research focuses on new promoted vanadium materials for the development of a durable SCR exhaust aftertreatment technology. The aim is to understand how new promoters and synthesis routes impact SCR operating mechanisms using advanced spectroscopic operando methods.
