Anna-Maria Carstensen is a PhD student in the Automatic control research group, focusing on plant illumination control based on plant fluorescence and reflectance measurements. Anna-Maria’s research focuses on smart, LED-based illumination of greenhouses. The illumination control should be based on plants’ light requirements along with growth rate demands. The main idea is withdrawing information on plants’ light requirements and growth depending on reflectance and fluorescence from plants. Anna-Maria is also a teaching assistant for engineering chemistry students.
