Dr. Vijayshankar Asokan, post-doctoral researcher at High Temperature Corrosion Centre, Energy and Materials Division, Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, will focus on the microstructural studies of degradation/corrosion of materials using electron microscopy and focused ion beam techniques. Research activities of Dr. Vijay Asokan are focused to provide a solution to the selection of materials and its performance in energy production, in engines and in industrial processes. Knowledge of materials are more important in the development of more economical, environmentally sustainable processes and systems. Dr. Vijay Asokan have wide experience in the operation of electron microscopy since 2007 and holds academic and industrial experiences in India, Norway and China.
