Timothy Benham

Senior Research Engineer at Energy Conversion and Propulsion Systems

I am responsible for the single-cylinder, heavy duty research engine laboratory, maintaining and modifying it as necessary to run different tests.

The engine has been used by PhD students to evaluate different fuels and understand combustion phenomena mostly for compression-ignition. More recently it has been converted to spark-ignition for work with CNG and now Hydrogen.
