BoHyun Choi
Bohyun Choi joined the Division of Industrial Biotechnology in May 2021 as a postdoctoral researcher. His research focus is on the development of robust yeast strains and engineering of bioprocesses for production of lactic acid from lignocellulosic hydrolysates. The final aim of this project, that is done in collaboration with Tampere University, is to enable forest-based biochemical production by development of an integrated biorefinery process in which two microorganisms benefit from each other and utilizes all parts of the lignocellulose hydrolysates for value creation.
