Kevin Cushon received the degree of B.Sc. in computer engineering in 2005, and the degree of M.Sc. in electrical engineering in 2008, both from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada.In 2014, he received the degree of Ph.D. in electrical engineering from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. His thesis research consisted of the energy-efficient decoding of LDPC codes. This work was continued during a postdoctoral fellowship at Linköping University from March through August 2014.He joined MC2 in September 2014, where he is researching energy-efficient optical fibre communications systems.His research interests include error correction, hardware acceleration, high-performance computing, and energy-efficient design.
