Dan Zheng
Dan Zheng is a postdoc at the Division of Water Environment Technology, research theme Bioinformatics and big data analysis of wastewater treatment, at Chalmers. Her research is focusing on metagenomics analysis, e.g. microbial communities in aquaculture systems. The aim of the project is to examine microbial communities in recirculating aquaculture systems and to understand which microorganisms and environmental conditions lead to the production of off-flavor compounds. Her research interests also include investigating the biological mechanisms in both aerobic (nitrogen removal) and anaerobic (methanogenesis) processes for wastewater treatment, by using metagenomics and possibly other omics methods.
