Eleni Gerolymatou

Associate Professor at GeoEngineering

Eleni is an associate professor at the division of geology and geotechnics, research group Geotechnics. Her research focus is on rock mechanics and rock engineering, though she has also worked in the field of soil mechanics. She is interested in physically based constitutive modelling, with emphasis on energetic methods. She also has experience in the areas of finite and discrete element modelling, as well as in laboratory testing of rock. among others, main focal points of her research concern anisotropy, localization of deformation and coupled phenomena.
