Hannes Johnson

Projektassistent at Mechanics and Maritime Sciences, Maritime Studies, Maritime Environment and Energy Systems

Hannes Johnson is a post-doctoral researcher at Gothenburg Research institute since September 2016. He is mainly working on a project concerning innovation regarding energy efficiency in the process of designing and ordering a new ship. The project is carried out in the form of case studies of such processes in a number of Swedish shipping companies who order ships from mainly China and South Korea. This position is funded full-time for three years by the Swedish Energy Agency and their research programme Strategic Energy Systems Research. Hannes Johnson has a PhD in Shipping and Marine Technology and a M.Sc. degree (Swedish: "Civilingenjör") in Engineering Physics, both from Chalmers University of Technology.
