Mohsen Heshmati

Doktorand at Chalmers, Architecture and Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering

Mohsen Heshmati is a doctoral student at the Division of Structural Engineering, in the research group Steel and Timber structures, at Chalmers. As a doctoral student, his research is focused on effective construction and upgrading of steel and steel-FRP composite bridges with the emphasis on long-term performance. The aim is to achieve safer, more durable and economical bridges, through investigations on durability aspects and fatigue. Mohsen has been present in the Structural Engineering division since he started his master’s thesis project in November 2010, in which was awarded with Sweden’s best master’s thesis of the year.Mohsen participates in the project Effective construction and upgrading of steel and steel-FRP composite bridges - with the emphasis on long-term performance.
