Liyang Liu

Assistant Professor at Chemical Technology

Dr. Liyang Liu supervised the group on Lignin Science and Technology. His group aimed at investigating the reaction and structure of lignin and wood and converting these biomacromolecular into advanced materials (e.g., polymeric foams, adhesives and coatings, nanocomposite, 3D Printing materials) in greener and efficient ways. Cruicial for the rational design of lignin-based materials is to understand their structure-properties by the application of fundamental principle of polymer science. His group will create innovative materials, develop advanced characterization and materials processing means, and train excellent researchers at different levels. These will finally contribute to the long-term sustainable development goals of Swedish Society. Dr. Liyang Liu is now a WWSC, TreeSearch, and ACS member.
