Post doc at Nano and Biophysics

I joined the Bionanophotonics group as a postdoctoral researcher in September 2017.I currently work in the design of phase-gradient metasurfaces made of arrays of high-index dielectric nanostructures placed on a substrate.The main goal of my research is to maximize the reflection from the metasurface. To this end I perform numerical simulations with the FEM.I hold a bachelor in Physics from the University of Barcelona, a Master in Photonics from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and a PhD in Physics from the Universitat de les Illes Balears. I did my PhD at the Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Physics and Complex Systems, IFISC (UIB-CSIC). During my PhD I studied the dynamics of photonic systems with multiple delay times. In particular, I analyzed the synchronization of square-wave periodic solutions in mutually delay-coupled optoelectronic oscillators, and the state-dependent-delay dynamics of a semiconductor laser with filtered feedback from multiple delay lines.
