Carlo Negrato's research focuses on the optimization of the hull-propeller system using Computational Fluid Dynamics. The aim of the project is to investigate a feasible flow resolution to include the effects of cavitation in the optimization process. The research is carried out under the supervision of prof. Rickard Bensow and in collaboration with the Maritime Research Institute of the Netherlands (MARIN). Carlo has a background in Naval Architecture, with specialization in ship hydromechanics.
