Nicolas Berguerand

Nicolas Berguerand is currently working as a project leader in the Biomass Gasification group with emphasis on producer gas cleaning. The goal is to use a downstream catalytic step after a biomass gasifier to yield a reformed gas suitable for use as raw material in industrial processes or to produce biofuels. The technique used is called Chemical-Looping Reforming and is derived from Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC). Nicolas has previously worked with Chemical-Looping Combustion with solid fuels, a topic in which he received his PhD degree.
