Stephan van Reen

Doctoral Student at Marine Technology

Stephan van Reen is a Doctoral student at the Marine Technology Division in the Department of Mechanics and Maritime Sciences at Chalmers. His research concerns the optimisation of wing-sail design on large ships, incorporating fluid dynamics and fluid-structure interactions. The goal is to develop a tool that can optimise an arbitrary sail-shape for thrust production and structural stability.
