Efstathios Reppas Chrysovitsinos

Postdoc at Environmental Systems Analysis

Hello and welcome to my profile! I'm an environmental engineer and modeler studying the urban metabolism of carbon.

More specifically, I'm currently working on developing in silico tools and methodologies to i) estimate the flow of fossil carbon in the urban wastewater of Sweden and assess carbon fate under various wastewater treatment scenarios, ii) prosepctively assess emerging technologies for recycling carbon in mixed waste streams from a life cycle perspective, and iii) assess the flow of carbon in a combined aquacultural - agricultural production/ waste treatment system.

I have a background in modeling human and environmental exposure to chemicals and I have also worked on modeling the effect of multiple stressors on the Arctic marine ecosystem. I'm deeply interested in the planetary boundaries framework, the Arctic, cheminformatics, thermodynamics & mass transfer phenomena, and epistemology.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any question regarding my work or if you generally want to discuss research ideas!
