Simon Ingvarsson

Doctoral Student at Energy Technology

Simon’s research is focused on the interplay between the forest industry’s energy systems and the national level energy system. By analysis of current processes and modeling of future scenarios, possibilities are studied for the forest industry to provide flexibility to a dynamic electricity system with a high share of variable power production from renewable sources. The studies explore both opportunities that can be implemented in short term and transformative pathways to support the Swedish target of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2045.
