Sukhdeep Singh

Doktorand at Chalmers University of Technology, Industrial and Materials Science, Materials and manufacture

Sukhdeep joined the department as Phd student in 2015. His work is performed in collaboration with the Welding Group at University West and concerns to weldability of high temperature materials such as Ni-based superalloys for gas turbines and austenitic stainless steels for boiler applications. More specifically, the goal is to have an improved knowledge about hot cracking phenomena, which is a cracking mechanism occurring during welding, and establish a testing methodology that can be used for assessing hot cracking susceptibility.
