Chemical-looping combustion of biomass and waste – pilot operation and prestudy
Research Project, 2021
– 2023
The project includes a feasibility study that investigates how a CLC (Chemical looping combustion) boiler can be constructed that is flexible in the sense that it can also be used as a circulating fluidized bed boiler (CFB). The Swedish Energy Agency assesses that chemical looping combustion can potentially reduce the costs of carbon dioxide capture and reduce energy use and thereby increase the possibility of achieving negative emissions.
