Navigation support from land phase 2
Research Project, 2022
– 2025
The concept of Shore-based Navigation assistance has been developed in the research project "Analysis of conditions and benefits with a new shore-based navigation assistance TRV2019 / 13352" which was implemented during 2019-2020 under the coordination of RISE and with funding from the Swedish Transport Administration. In addition to RISE, the Swedish Maritime Administration, a number of Swedish shipping companies and the Swedish Shipowners Association participated in the project. The outcome in phase I of
Navigation support from land was very positive and there is great interest from both the shipping industry, the academy and from the Swedish Maritime Administration to continue the development and carry out system demonstrations of the concept. The players believe that there are great opportunities with navigation support from land.
