Quantum computer packaging
Research Project, 2021
– 2022
Purpose and goal
The purpose is to investigate the potential for a new solution that can connect quantum processors with its control equipment. The solution is a holder that can be used for many qubits and is compatible with several different cryostats. The goal is to evaluate the market and identify which technical eligibility requirements customers would have for the solution and validate the feasibility of those.
Expected results and effects
The expected result is a business plan based on the analysis of customer requirements as well as evaluating competitors and potential partners. Furthermore, the project will validate the technical functionality of the holder. For example through obtaining measurements of important parameters such as gate fidelity and verifying the performance of microwave elements.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is divided into business development, customer validation, and technical validation. The work packages run in parallel by a team whose members have competence and experience in these areas. Through an established network, we intend to develop the solution and the business plan in close cooperation with customers in order to adapt the final product to a larger crowd.
