REDIG system demonstration: open logistics system for the Evenemangsstraket for more efficient transport

Purpose and goal
The project´s objective is to create a system demonstration of the ecosystem that is required for a fossil-free, open, scalable logistics solution for goods consolidation to recipients in the Evenemangsstraket in Gothenburg. Project partial goals are Define functional, technical, business & legal requirements for the ecosystem Perform a physical system demonstration Visualize the open logistics solution through a digital twin Evaluate policies and regulations, as well as the role of the vehicle in the open logistics solution

Expected results and effects
Expected result is: - Scalable sustainable open logistics solution - gained knowledge and understanding among all actors about the need for change in the freight transport system and new forms of cooperation - increased insight that contribute to a transition towards a fossil-free energy-efficient transport system - validation and preparation for implementation of the solution after project completion - reduced number of calls to the recipients, which contributes to a more attractive city district.
