ShiftBeds
Research Project, 2023 – 2026

Purpose and goal: The purpose of ShiftBeds is to create an integrated, virtual testbed (digital twin) that combines and virtually joins existing testbeds at four of Sweden´s strongest academic labs in production technology and industrial digitalisation. The project complements "ShiftLabs", an EU project within the European Digital Innovation Hub, by expanding and simplifying the opportunities for SMEs to take advantage of the services that ShiftLabs offers. The goal is that through the virtual test bed that the project is developing, it will be possible to take part in the services also digitally. Expected results and effects: ShiftBeds covers partly the development of the test bed (digital twin), partly that each lab offers services from ShiftsLab´s range via the test bed to at least three SMEs per participating partner. In total, this means that 12 SMEs during the project period are offered services, primarily "test before invest", lab workshops and technical evaluations or feasibility studies. After the end of the project, the testbed will continue to be used to digitally offer the services of the ShiftLabs testbeds. Approach and implementation: The project is divided into five work packages: WP1: Project management WP2: Development of test bed WP3: Pilots with company WP4: SMF efforts WP5: Results spreading Each work package has a number of defined deliverables.
