Impact and effect assessment of the climate requirements regarding concrete for transport infrastructure
Research Project, 2025
The aim of the project is to clarify construction, material optimization and production consequences,
based on a demand/asset perspective as well as construction time and cost aspects that present and
planned requirements entail. This means that the following research questions will be answered:
1. Which cost and production consequences do present requirements entail?
2. Which consequences will Exposure Resistance Classes have on planned requirements?
3. How should requirements on structural and material optimisation be formulated?
4. Which are the most important factors to consider in future definitions of requirements and their
implementation?
The project's goal is to further use the project's results as a basis for the Swedish Transport
Administration's continued work with regard to performance and climate requirements and thereby
contribute to the Swedish Transport Administration achieving the climate goals of 2040. The
secondary goal is to provide a basis for the industry's actors to adopt the new requirements best.
