Transatlantic Cooperation for Leveling Up MaaS
Research Project, 2024
– 2025
Mobility as a Service (MaaS) has been described as an innovation with the potential to contribute to more sustainable travel. In 2016, a model – a MaaS topology – was developed to describe MaaS based on different levels of integration. The topology has been disseminated and adopted by both researchers and practitioners. Given recent developments in both integrated mobility and digitalization, there is a need for an updated topology, as well as for a more comprehensive and accessible description of what MaaS is – or could be. The project therefore, aims to, through collaboration between researchers in the US and Sweden, create and disseminate an updated MaaS topology, which is also adapted to the American context.
