Competence, entrepreneurship and framwork for next-gen materials
Research Project, 2023
– 2025
Purpose and goal
The goal of the project is to support the innovation capacity of Swedish organizations working with graphene or other 2D materials. This by supporting Master theses and standardization work, as well as an innovation competition.
Expected effects and result
The project creates opportunities to: - Finance Master theses working with graphene and 2D materials with an industrial orientation. This both promotes education and helps the organizations investigate opportunities in the area. - Fund some standardization work. New standards are needed to take new materials and technologies from the lab to large-scale industry. The project enables SMEs to influence future standards. - Start working on new innovations. The innovation competition provides a good kick-start for work with new innovations with graphene and other 2D materials.
Planned approach and implementation
The program office will organize open calls where it is possible to apply for funds for Master theses and for participation in national and international standardization work. The program office will also arrange an innovation competition.
