AI-powered Pavements Maintenance - System Demonstrator
Research Project, 2025 – 2027

AI-driven Maintenance of Road Pavements is a technology and system demonstrator that aims to test and evaluate the benefits of AI-driven approaches to pavement maintenance, which include pavement damage inventory, planning, and implementation of remedial pavement maintenance. Another aim is to identify the adaptations that should be made in the ecosystem, including adaptations of the business model and regulatory framework, to create the conditions for the implementation.

The project is expected to provide proposals for an AI-driven approach for road pavement maintenance with an implementation plan with proposals for necessary adaptations of the business model, regulations and activities as important prerequisites for implementation
