Chips JU WBG Pilot Line HE- National Part
Research Project, 2025 – 2030

The purpose of the project is to implement an integrated pilot line focused on the development of wide band gap (WBG) semiconductor technology for power and radio frequency (RF) electronics. Goals are to (1) strengthen the existing facilities of participating partners active in the field of advanced semiconductors and related technologies. (2) address all issues related to research, development and production of components with power and RF performance much higher than those achieved today.

Expected results are the development and pilot production of components with power electronics and RF performance much higher than those achieved with conventional silicon technology. This will be based on a roadmap for the development of such advanced technology. The project will also result in strategies to improve the structural and electrical properties of WBG semiconductors (and Ultra-WBG-semiconductors). An expected effect is increased industrial innovation in the field.
