BeWhere - analysis of biofuel production in Sweden with a stakeholder fokus
Research Project, 2014 – 2017

In two previous f3 projects, the techno-economic, geographically explicit model BeWhere Sweden has been developed to study locations and characteristics of biofuel production plants. The aim of this interdisciplinary project is to demonstrate and validate the usefulness of BeWhere Sweden for relevant actors and stakeholders, by performing model runs and results analysis in cooperation with e.g. industry representatives. An actor perspective is adopted in order to validate the relevance of the model results, and to identify and examine barriers and driving forces for the implementation of new biofuel production. To provide a more comprehensive representation of the prospects for producing biofuels in Sweden, the model is complemented with agriculture-based fuels.
